Product Care

Before Use   When your sex toy arrives, be sure to read the instructions that come with the toy carefully.  Before cleaning the sex toys, check for any rough or sharp edges.  These usually can be removed carefully with a nail file. Because sex toys touch your skin and very  intimate areas of your body, it is important to first know your allergies. Consult with your physician if you are unsure.

Hygenic use of Sex Toys   When sharing sex toys with someone or using your sex toys both vaginally and anally you should clean between each use.  STD's can easily be transmitted using the sex toys from person to person.  Also, bacteria can grow causing infections in the vagina and penis. Using condoms on your sex toys can quickly be changed and are a great tool in keeping your toys clean.

Using Lubricants   Water based lubricants are a must when using most sex toys. This helps to preserve the material and makes the experience a lot smoother.  A silicone lubricant should never be used with silicone sex toys.  It also must not be used on  realistic materials (See Below).  Don’t be conservative with the lubricant - the more the better.  Keep a cup of warm water within reach as sometimes the water in the lubricant can evaporate but the actual lube is still there – this means just add water.  Putting the lube in warm water for a few minutes before use will take away the initial shock of a cold lubricant.

Sex Toys Storage   Before storing your sex toys, clean them thoroughly. Remove the batteries to prevent leakage which can ruin the sex toys. Most sex toys should be kept away from heat and direct sunlight .  Keep them away from moisture and in an area free from dust, lint, and pet hair.

Cleaning Sex Toys   Care for your toys varies  depending on the materials the product is made from.  See below to best care for your product type.

Silicone Sex Toys   Silicone is a very durable material.  It is hypoallergenic and non-porous meaning you can wash it at high temperatures using soap and water.  You can boil it for 2-3 minutes, place in top rack of dishwasher, or clean with a 10% bleach solution. You should be careful of any plastic parts it might contain which can be damaged at high temperatures. Do not use silicone lube with a silicone toy.

Acrylic/Plastic   All can be washed with warm water and anti-bacterial hand soap and then sterilized using an alcohol-soaked cotton ball (rinse afterward). Acrylic may be boiled or submerged in hot water if they're not battery-operated. Dispose of your toy when any cracking appears.

EGlass/Pyrex   It's easy to clean your Pyrex Eglass Sextoy.  Some of the easiest and most common ways to clean Pyrex glass toys are with non-abrasive antibacterial hand or dish soap, rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl),bleach, boiling in water (make sure the water is at room temperature before adding or removing Pyrex glass as sudden, drastic temperature changes may, on rare occasions, crack the glass), or even in the dishwasher (they are dishwasher safe.) Rinse well with warm water after any kind of cleaning. Due to the non-porous, chemical and odor resistant properties of Pyrex glass, almost any cleaner may be used in a pinch (stay away from abrasives), but only the methods specifically listed here are recommended.

Jelly or Latex Rubber Sex Toys   Latex sex toys tend to be cheaper than silicone toys and are less durable. They require special care.  Latex is permeable so soap can adhere to your toy.  It is best to use hot water alone.  Also, remember that oil based lubricants or massage oils will deteriorate the latex quickly so you should use only water based lubricants.

Remote control sex toys  If your sex toy has wires connecting the toy to the control mechanism, be sure not to pick up by the cord. Any defective electrical devices should be repaired by a professional only or discarded.

Realistic Materials  These are a combination of silicone and plastic.  It feels like the softness of skin, but will retain its hardness. Theses names include UR3, UltraSkin,  FauxskinTM CyberskinTM, FuturoticTM, NeoSkin®, Soft TouchTM.  This type of material might be used in erection rings, vibrators, masturbation sleeves, and dildos. Thoroughly wash with warm (not hot) water and a liquid antibacterial soap. Let air dry completely. when dry, sprinkle with the included "renewing" powder or cornstarch. Never use talcum powder or baby powder. These can cause irritation and infections in women.
